How to make an international move even more stressful

As if moving every 2-3 years was not stressful enough our LQA landlord has decided that now is the perfect time to sell the house we are living in.  What fun!  Apparently you cannot wait until summer when we are out of the house because people in America's hat really like to shop for houses in March - stepping over piles of filthy left over snow banks.  So the next 2 and a half week will be awful for me - getting ready for someone else's open house and watching a parade of workers come through the house.

Did I also mention that all three kids are home for March break?  So any type of sorting and cleaning is much like shoveling snow in a week long blizzard - totally pointless.  After I wigged out on their realtor, they are sending a cleaner - for a full 9 hour day during which I have to keep the cat and dog locked up at all times.  How fun will that be....I am never ever again going to an LQA post.  Ever.
The End.

  1. I hate to tell you this, but that's not just an LQA post problem. The owners of the house we lived in while in Nassau sold while we were there. Luckily, they didn't want to hold an open house, but we did have people coming through the house by appointment. Which I had to be home for, of course. And lots of random people stopping outside the front gate and gawking. I feel your pain.

  2. Did the Embassy own your house? Or contract it? I think it just feels much much worse because Canadians DO NOT EVER complain or really question things - so I come across looking like a lunatic!
