around town

Getting our of our neighborhood is important.  Really important and sometimes hard.  The metro is not that comfortable with kids and it's always grey these days.  But get off the compound we do, as much as we can.

This little car is a vintage police or militia car.  We stumbled upon a graduation of new militia officers at Victory Park.  A lot of people I know are wary of them as they guard our neighborhood, but I always say hello - and they have always been polite to me, sometimes even opening our heavy doors if I have children or groceries in hand.  And boy do they all love Sabacha Pavader - the guide dogs we have come to stay.  The rowdier the better seems to be their thinking!
